Meet Kristen
Kristen Watson, MS, Resident in Counseling
Art Therapist
I am an enthusiastic resident in counseling dedicated to fostering emotional healing and personal growth through creative expression. With experience working with individuals of all ages, I embrace a holistic approach that integrates concepts from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Combining a strong foundation in neuroscience with a deep understanding of trauma and its impact, I am particularly passionate about the needs of adolescents facing challenges such as anxiety, self-harm, and behavioral difficulties. By creating a safe and supportive environment, I encourage clients to explore their feelings through the creative process, facilitating insight and empowerment.
With a commitment to continually expanding knowledge and skills, I utilize strengths-based techniques to help clients navigate their unique journeys. With a compassionate approach and a focus on building resilience, I aim to support individuals in reaching their goals and their creative abilities as a means of self-discovery and healing.
In addition to offering personalized therapy sessions for individuals and groups, I actively engage in community outreach initiatives to promote mental wellness and art therapy awareness.
Whether you're seeking individual support or a group, family, or couples session, I am here to accompany you on the path to emotional well-being.
